Substack Writing
Formats and structures content for Substack.
What it does
/writing-substack takes rough content (notes, an outline, a brain dump) and structures it for a Substack post: a hook that earns the read, a body that develops one idea per section, and an ending that gives the reader something to do or think about. It also applies your writing style rules if you have them defined.
The output is a draft ready for your own editing pass, not a finished post.
When to use it
- When you have something to say but don't have the structure for it yet
- When you've written a post that feels too long and unfocused
- When you want to convert a thread or a document into long-form content
How to trigger it
Say: write this as a Substack post and paste your notes or outline
Or: structure this for Substack on existing draft content
What you need
Content to work with: bullet points, a rough draft, a brain dump, a Slack thread you want to expand. Works without integrations. Pair with /writing-style for output that sounds like you rather than a generic blog post.
